This "6LC" is by far the best Vise Grip for a compact tool kit (car, boat, RV, apartment, etc.)
It can work as a pliers, crescent wrench (tiny or large nuts), a pipe wrench, and more. I've used it when a socket wrench or needle nose pliers were called for. The jaw ends can go where other Vise Grips can't.
Grabs everything from a #4 hex nut to a 2x4.
Jaws open to about 2-1/8" max.
It also has a wire cutter.
I own the non-padded version: 6.75 oz -- 6.5" x 1.6" x .54"
