i bought some channellock retaining ring pliers years ago and they were TERRIBLE. it was the design though- and this is the improved design. this new style has the blocking style tip holders that don't wiggle or twist when you squeeze them- and that's the MOST IMPORTANT THING. it's one of many tools that you just can't go cheap and crappy with. a good pair of pliers.
